The varieties of corundum except red colour are termed sapphires. Various colour varieties of sapphires are blue, violet, yellow, pink, orange, green, colourless and star sapphire. It is occurred primary and secondary deposits. Spinel, tourmaline, topaz, etc.. are the main associated mineral of sapphire. Cabochon and faceted style is usually applied to sapphire.
